Driving, diabetes and the law

There are different 'rules of the road' when driving with diabetes. Ensure you know when it's safe to proceed.

Drivers have a legal obligation to tell the DVLA / DVA* about certain medical conditions that they have and treatments that they are receiving. Failure to do so could leave you open to prosecution for illegal driving.

The company that brings your CONTOUR® products, Ascensia Diabetes Care has put together a leaflet that will help you find more information around the DVLA guidelines. Click here to download the leaflet.

* DVLA: Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency covers England, Scotland and Wales. DVA: Driver & Vehicle Agency covers Northern Ireland
